Bulb Lecture

Presented by the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association

Bloomin’ Beautiful: How to Force Bulbs for the Holidays

Tuesday, November 14, 6:30-8:00 PM
The Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate, Canton, MA

Forcing bulbs is easy and fun! In addition to a bit of history about bulbs, you’ll learn which bulbs are best for forcing and how they are able to bring fragrance, color and joy to the holiday season.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:  How to select and force bulbs for blooms this holiday season or any time throughout the year

MAKE IT – TAKE IT:  Attendees will plant a container using paperwhite bulbs (Narcissus spp.) that will produce fragrant blooms in mid-to-late December.

WHY ATTEND THIS LECTURE IN NOVEMBER?  From the time you begin the forcing process, many bulbs require 4-6 weeks to bloom. Mid-November is the perfect time to get most bulbs started so they are ready for gift-giving or decorating in December.

The fee for this lecture is $25.00 (non-refundable), payable by credit card or PayPal.
