Herb Lecture

Presented by the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association

Hello, Herb(s): How to Start an Herb Garden

Tuesday, October 24, 6:30-8:00 PM
The Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate, Canton, MA

Herb gardening has been popular for centuries. Today we think of herbs primarily for culinary uses. But historically herbs also filled other family needs: as medicine, fabric dyes, air fresheners and many other uses. This lecture will explore the world of herbs and take a look at a modern-day herb garden.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:  How to select and care for plants for your own herb garden, plus garden design tips

MAKE IT – TAKE IT:  Attendees will make a small herb garden container to enjoy indoors over the fall and winter.

WHY ATTEND THIS LECTURE IN OCTOBER?  Fall and winter are a great time to browse gardening magazines and books for herb garden design ideas…and to check out tried-and-true and unusual varieties in seed catalogs.

The fee for this lecture is $25.00 (non-refundable), payable by credit card or PayPal.
